Tales of Symphonia Tarot: The Fool

Medium: Crayola Colored Pencils

Not too long ago, I had finished my second playthrough of Tales of Symphonia, a couple years after my first one. This ended up reawakening my obsession with this particular title in the Tales of series and I thought of creating a tarot deck featuring the Major Arcana using Tales of Symphonia characters.

As of the moment, I have half of the deck drawn as a marker outline and only a handful colored. I plan on making a post each Friday with a new one (until I finish the Major Arcana) so stay tuned for more!

Tales of Symphonia and its characters belong to Namco, Bandai Namco, and etc...

Charm #003: Baby Chick

Medium: Polymer Clay (Sculpey III brand)
Colors Used: Lemonade & Just Orange

Next charms to be posted in the future is...hanami dango, Siamese cats, and Jigglypuff.

Eventually, I would like to venture into making chibi charms but I would need to buy the proper clay colors from the store first. ^_^ I would start off by trying to make Harry Potter, Yggdrasill sans wings (Tales of Symphonia), and Albel Nox (Star Ocean: Till the End of Time).

See, this is what I'm currently working with for now and I don't have all the color options yet to do chibis...

Simple Baking with BadArtBlogger!

I only recently started baking because I didn't have my own kitchen for the past four years.  Anyways, here's some of the stuff I have made so far:

Cheesecake Cups with Mini Reese's Cups

Cheesecake Cups with Chocolate Creme Oreos

(Both of these cheesecake cups follow this recipe that I found on Wikibooks. After the cheesecake cups has finished baking in the oven, I add in the Reese's or Oreos in the center before I refridgerate it. In my last set of cheesecake cups, which are not pictured, I crushed up Chocolate Teddy Grahams to act as the "crust" on the bottom.)

(Both of these cupcakes are just regularly cupcakes from a mix but I just wanted to show the decorations I did on top. The right set were for Halloween and I found the inspiration for the spiders online but cannot remember exactly where. Its eyes are M&Ms and the legs are Cherry Twizzlers)

Nutella Rice Krispie Treats with Pecans, (whole) Mini-Marshmallows, and M&Ms.

(Recipe from Ree, aka The Pioneer Woman)

Lucky Charm Cereal Treats

(Recipe from tastythumb)

Reese's Chocolate Bark with Crushed Pretzels & Mini-Marshamallows Inside

(I know it looks like a horrid mess but it was delicious! I used the Reese's brand peanut butter chips with chocolate baking chips. Baked that in the oven for 3-5 minutes (using a recipe from the back of the Nestle Toll House Limited Edition Mint Chip bag) then added the pretzels and such once I pulled the pan out of the oven. Then refridgerate until it cools down and the chocolate starts to harden.)

Mint Chocolate Bark with Pretzels, Mini-Marshmallows, & Pecans

(This one follows the same process as the above.)

Charm #001: Onigiri

Medium: Polymer Clay (Sculpey III brand)
Colors Used: White & Leaf Green
What's this? This isn't a bad art picture, you may be thinking.

Well, this is my first clay charm! I got interested in the idea of making my own charms because one of my former classmates makes them and from admiring people's creations by looking at pictures/videos online.
I had already promised some of my coworkers that I would make them jewelry featuring clay made charms so I wanted to test the waters with something more simple before I started making more elaborate charms.
Once I had formed the complete shape of the onigiri, I used a toothpick to lightly poke holes so that it resembled the texture of the rice. If I was going to paint a face then I wouldn't have bothered with this.

Pictures will be coming in the following weeks of some more charms!
From sushi to Mameshiba to a baby chick!

Also, on a totally unrelated note, more of my fanart for Dr Carm is now avaliable here!
